Add (appoint) Secretary

Overview: UAE company/legal entity may have a Secretary, who will ensure that the company/legal entity complies with its legal and statutory requirements.

Purpose: Add (appoint) a secretary of a company/legal entity

Main specifications:

• Multiple appointments simultaneously are possible
• Natural and/or legal person may be appointed
• Responsibilities must be clearly defined

Registering authority: UAE Trade Register

Term of registration: 2-3 working days

Personal presence: Optional

Conditions for registration:

• The decision of the board of directors to add (appoint) a Secretary
• Secretary – Minimum 1 (maximum – unlimited) natural/legal person of any nationality/jurisdiction

Required documents:

• Passport or European ID card (for all associated persons)
• Proof of residential address not older than 3 months (for all associated natural persons)
• Extract from the Trade Register not older than 3 months (for all associated legal persons)
• Signed Decision on the appointment of the Secretary of the company/legal entity
